If you have been wanting to upgrade your bathroom but haven’t had the time, think small. There are so many projects you can complete in a weekend that will transform your space into a fully functional and stylish room. Here are six ways to revamp your vintage bathroom design this weekend:
1. Mini spa corner
You might think having a nice bubble bath on a weeknight is a time-consuming luxury that you won’t ever have. However, there is a simple solution to this dilemma. All you have to do is store everything you need nearby and it will be a cinch to run the bath and soak for hours.
Just grab a small end table and place it near your clawfoot tub. Then fill it with containers of bath beads, aromatherapy candles, matches and bubble bath. You can also store a magazine or a crossword puzzle in the dresser. Place soap, sponges and towels in the unit and you’ll have a lounging bath in the time it takes to fill the basin.
2. Revamped pedestal sink
Pedestal sinks are great because of their vintage aesthetic. However, sometimes you might want to change up the look of the unit or hide away storage you placed beneath it. To do so, grab some fabric in the color and pattern of your choice and affix it to the perimeter of the unit. You’ll have a chic skirt and add more color to the room.
3. Decorative containers
Busy people are always trying to find ways to cut down on their morning routine. To shed minutes off the time it takes to get ready in the morning, just place everything you need in front of you instead of storing it in a drawer. Add cotton swabs and cotton balls into a glass container and top with a jar.
4. Functional vanity
If you have a vanity with drawers there are ways to make it extremely organized. Place wood or plastic dividers inside each drawer to make different compartments for your nail polish and makeup. You can place your jewelry in another one with the same organizational system.
5. Greenery
If you have the winter blues or need some more color in your bathroom, just add indoor plants. Find large potted botanicals to place on the floor and smaller vases to add to your sink and shelves.
6. Wall color
Don’t forget about changing up the wall color. If you want the room to feel cool and refreshing opt for a blue or green hue. However, if you want the room to feel warm and rich, choose red or brown.
