Designing a kid-friendly bathroom for your children

Your little ones don’t require some of the same amenities that you do in your master bathroom. Your children’s bathroom can be decorative while still being practical and attentive to their needs. Consider any of these unique ideas to transform your little one’s bathroom experience:

Separate towel racks
If you have more than one child, the bathroom can get messy pretty quickly. Everyone’s designated towels often become mixed up without anyone knowing whose is whose. Keep the towels separate and organized by setting up different hooks on the wall to hold each one. Above each hook, place a framed picture of your little one. Step stool
Invest in a small step stool that easily slides underneath your sink or can be stored in a cabinet. This way, your little one will be able to reach everything from toothbrushes and toothpaste to soap and faucets.

Install a larger sink in your children’s bathroom to accommodate for multiple kids. Then they won’t have to wait to use the sink and can get ready for bed at the same time. While you’re at it, you can install anti-scald devices on your faucets and showerheads to ensure that your children won’t burn themselves with hot water. This device regulates the temperature of the water to keep it safe for your little ones.

Individual mason jars
Keep each child’s bathroom essentials in separate using mason jars. Store them above the sink for easy access. In these canning jars, you can keep their toothbrushes separate, along with a hand towel, toothpaste, soap or anything else they need when getting ready for bed.

Decorate with wall decals
Wall decals are the perfect way to decorate a kid’s bathroom because they can easily be removed if and when your little one grows out of the design. Choose from a variety of designs and colors, like rubber ducks, a school of fish, a fun quote or an animal.

No-touch faucet
Keep germs at bay in your kid’s bathroom with a no-touch faucet. This way, if their hands are messy, they won’t have to spread that mess onto the fixture. All they have to do is place their hands under the faucet and the water begins streaming out.
