Once a bathroom faucet has been chosen, it’s time to install the new piece. Before beginning installation, be sure to flush plumbing lines to clear any debris and shut off both supply lines after flushing. |
- Remove the tee connector and spout mounting hardware from the spout.
- Sparingly apply a small bead of silicone caulking around the center hole on top of the sink (do not use Plumber’s Putty as it may damage the finish and void the warranty).
- From the top of the sink, insert the spout base ring (if applicable) and spout through the center hole, slip the washers back on the spout shank, make sure the notch on the washers is pointing towards the back wall, and secure it by tightening the lock nut.
- Place the tee connector to the end of the spout and thread the tee onto the spout shank.
- Thread the lock nut and insert the washer into the valve assembly, making sure to thread all the way to the bottom of the threads. Insert from the bottom and, while holding it in position, insert the flange and attach the handle. Adjust the flange so the handle can move freely, tighten the lock nut from the bottom, making sure the valve assembly port is pointing to the spout.
- Attach flexible hoses to the outlet port of the valve assembly and tee connector. It may be necessary to loop the flexible hoses. Be cautious not to over-tighten.
- Apply Teflon to the inlet port of the stem assembly, then place rubber washer on the inlet port and thread flood safety check valve. Be careful not to over-tighten.
- Apply Teflon tape to threads on the flood safety check valve and thread the hot and cold supply lines.
- Thread the mounting nut and the bottom gasket onto the drain body. Wrap the top threaded end of the drain body with Teflon tape.
- Apply silicone to the bottom side of the flange.
- Install the flange body up through the drain opening. Hold the drain flange body in position with the pivot rod opening facing the back of the sink and hand tighten the mounting nut. Be sure to clean excess silicone.
- Guide the pivot rod through one of the holes on the lift rod strap and secure it with the spring clip. Then adjust the height of the lift rod by resetting the clevis screw. With the lift rod in position on the faucet, insert the lift rod through the lift rod strap and secure it with the clevis screw.
- Slide pivot nut over pivot rod and thread it on the drain body. Tighten firmly. Do not over-tighten nuts during installation. Over-tightening may crack the valve and cause a severe leak.
- Once the connections have been made, turn on the water supply and check for leaks.
Before beginning installation, be sure to flush plumbing lines to clear any debris and shut off both supply lines after flushing.
