GENERAL INFORMATION:
This countertop lavatory sink features a sufficient-sized round basin 19-5/16″ in diameter with a center faucet hole drilling (1-3/8″ in diameter) on an integrated faucet deck. An overflow hole is also included on the front of the basin. The construction of the vitreous china layering provides extra reinforcement and resistance from stains.
Up to the mid-1990’s lavatory sinks were probably one of the most underrated components of bathroom décor. The reason for that standing was most likely caused by the lack of diversity in designs and styles available.
The turning point came with the introduction of vessel sinks, which were designed to sit on top of the counter. Instead of the sink just being a useless furnishing on your counter, it now became a design feature. It enabled designers to be more creative now that they had an external surface to use as a design element. It allowed for the use of many more materials like glass, copper, stone and even wood, utilized in the fabrication of these sinks.
