Bathroom remodeling is the perfect opportunity to redesign the space to look like you’ve always wanted it to. But sometimes, having a clean slate to work with can be overwhelming – it can be hard to know where to start. The first step in creating your dream bathroom design is getting inspired. That’s where celebrities come in. Take a look at their bathrooms to get more than a few creative ideas that you can use in your own home.
1. Look to other parts of the world
Actor Ryan Phillippe’s Los Angeles, California, bathroom features notes of East Asian culture. The wallpaper is cloth-based, and Phillippe sticks to a neutral palette of creamy whites and subdued browns. His freestanding bathtub gives off a relaxing and serene ambiance.
2. Use all-white
Meg Ryan knows the powerful impact that an all-white color palette can have on the bathroom. In her beach house, she sticks to various shades of white on the walls, floor, bathtub and linens. She brightens up the space using greenery and dark window trim for a stunning statement.
3. Mix and match textures
If you look to “Grey’s Anatomy” star Ellen Pompeo’s bathroom, you’ll see that combining various textures, colors and materials can really create a rustic and beautiful bathroom. Martyn Lawrence Bullard is the designer of her space, and he used terra cotta floor tiles, a gorgeous porcelain freestanding tub and an antique bamboo ladder for storage.
4. Add in glamour
Who said the bathroom can’t be a glamorous space? Suzanne Somers’s bathroom is certainly big on luxury. The space features a zebra-printed rug with a lush chair sitting on top. A vintage chandelier hangs from the ceiling to warm up the room and provide ample lighting above the lavish tub.
5. Less is more
Ralph Lauren’s Manhattan bathroom features a minimalist style. The crisp white vanity has a clean, sleek look to it, and Lauren lets in plenty of light with a gorgeous picture window. The stainless steel faucets contribute a touch of luxury and blend in well with the minimalist design.
