This unit looks nice and seems to be well built, but there are some design aspects that need to be considered before buying.
The handle/head is long and heavy, and protrudes 14 inches from the wall with the handle tilted 45 degrees. This might be awkward for some shower sizes.
The heavy and long handle is also difficult to secure to a desired position. The ball-and-socket mount that holds it in position requires substantial torque that is applied with a small ring. The head won't stay in position without the mount being VERY tight, and any movement of the handle loosens the ball-socket, causing the handle to fall out of the mount. A better design to secure the ball-socket would be similar to the four spoke handle for the vertical position. That allows plenty of torque to be easily applied and would be a much better arrangement.
Also, the four spoke handle is not really required for the vertical adjustment, and its large size prevents rotating the head as far as I would prefer.
The supports that mount the bar to the wall are very stout and secure, but require precise vertical and horizontal alignment of the holes. The design does not use slotted mounting plates that typically provide about a quarter inch of lateral and vertical movement. So drilling the holes requires very precise positioning of the entire assembly which is (at least) a two person job. I did it solo and ended up with a vertical bar that is slightly tilted. Not a big deal, but it bothers me every time I see it.
The worst aspect (so far) is that the shower head began spraying some water out of the side, where the perforated plate meets the outer housing. I tried to disassemble and use silicone (or similar) to seal the joint, but it didn't work well. The fit between the plate and housing isn't well done.
So although this model looks nice I cannot recommend it due to the design aspects described above. My unit is about 7 months old, so I will investigate warranty repair/ return etc.
