The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement.

Easy to install

Cartridge is easy to install. Part was $30 but shipping was $13, which is too much for a part that is the size and weight of an inch of stacked dimes

Confused

Dealing with my order for 2 weeks now and still don't have the correct replacement cartridges. They now say, after sending pictures of the old cartridges, that I don't have Kingston faucets even though I have the original installation instructions that are titled with the Kingston name and address. They can't provide the needed cartridges but are being good about returning the ones they sent me at no charge. May have to replace faucets completely.
