KSRPLC3000CC Cold Ceramic Disc Cartridge (1 Piece), Raw

The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement.

Expensive parts don't last?

I have not installed this replacement yet, but the faucet is less than 3 years old and is dripping. I am not convinced that these $70 replacements will be any better. I like the faucet,though.
