The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement.

The ones that were suggested and sent to me are not the correct ones and I’ve sent a couple of emails and phoned customer service but so far no luck getting any info on return/refund. Frustrating because I’m leaving town in a few days and need to take care of this beforehand.
