The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement.

Seemingly well-made cartridges. Installed easily. No leaks -- they're doing their job. The original cartridges lasted through 13 years of light use. Hopefully these do better.

After 10 years of use both cartridges on our kitchen faucet started leaking. Replacement cartridges easy to install and work great!
