Heritage KBHB1971 Handle Base, Polished Chrome

This handle base is exactly the same size, on the outside, as the handle base I am replacing. However, the diameter of the pipe opening on this one is wider than the pipe opening of the old one, so it doesn't fit on my pipe.
I had originally called customer service, before I ordered, but she said I couldn't order parts unless my faucet was under warranty (which it isn't). She wouldn't give me any parts numbers, but referred me to a guy that sells Kingston Faucet parts. I talked with him, and he said to text the parts descriptions to him. I did, but he never responded.
I ended up searching your website for parts -- and this one doesn't work and there doesn't seem to be a part that does.
Very disappointed and frustrated.
