The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement.

I order the cartridge based on your input as to what I needed to fix a very tight valve. I received the unit quickly and have scheduled installation by my plumber which is planned for July. My review is limited to successful delivery.

Didn't fix problem

I worked with customer service to deal with a "whistle" in the handle when it is turned on. This did not fix the issue, it is something in the handle not the main valve.
